About this opportunity
Arizona State University and the Mastercard Foundation are offering 30 fully funded graduate study opportunities for the 2027-2028 academic year. The scholarship supports a two-year, full-time, in-person master's degree at ASU's Tempe campus in technology, innovation or sustainable engineering.
Eligible programmes are MS Global Technology and Development, MS Information Technology, MS Human Systems Engineering - Intelligent Systems, MS Computer Science, MS Data Science, Analytics and Engineering, MS Robotics and Autonomous Systems, MS Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering, MS Clean Energy Systems, and MS Modern Energy Production and Sustainable Use.
The scholarship covers full tuition and required fees, required books, on-campus housing, medical support, visa application processing costs, airfare to and from Phoenix, and an English language proficiency test voucher where required. Scholars also receive leadership development, academic advising, mentorship, community engagement, professional development and a two-month internship between the first and second years.
Applications close on Sunday, 27 September 2026 at 23:59 GMT. Applicants must complete the scholarship application first and should not apply separately for ASU graduate admission unless instructed by the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program team. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview and guided through the ASU admission process. Admission to an academic programme does not by itself guarantee the scholarship.
